Got into Kabul around noon yesterday. Did a bit of the ole Meet n Greet then settled into my hooch to unpack and take a nap as I was completely knackered but still wanted to meet up with a couple of good buddies of mine who are here. Well... my nap turned into an 8 hr log-sawing contest so I have now been wide awake since 2am. On the upside, that gave me the opportunity to download the pics that I've had on my camera for the last 2 months.
Am now off to the gym and the chow hall.

Glad you made it! Loved the pictures - so many familiar faces. It makes my heart soar to see everyone. (One I didn't need to see, but whatever!)

Glad to know you're there safely. It sounds like you needed those 8 hours of sleep. Did you wake up totally confused?

His mom was really good for the days we were there. She recognized folks and was in good spirits. His dad says she has her good ones and her bad ones.
