Long Weekend

South Africans are quite ingenious about the scheduling of their holidays. Having Freedom Day on Thursday and Workers' Day the next Tuesday, makes for a 5-day weekend if you take the Monday off. It exacerbates, however, the case of the Mondays that you get on Wednesday. So I'm draggin a bit today. It's also cooling down here which makes me want to eat soup and watch football and the closest I could get was obsessing over the NFL Draft which I followed over radio webcast this since I don't have a TV. The Vikings seem to have done a pretty good job addressing their complete lack of an offense last season and I have high hopes for the 07-08 season. But then I'm the eternal optimist when it comes to my Vikes and one never really knows until the season starts, does one?
